Consistently recognized as one of Tarrant County’s “Top Docs” in Fort Worth Magazine, Dr. Heistein has excelled in all aspects of plastic surgery. His skills as a leader, author, and lecturer within the field of plastic surgery have been acknowledged on local, national, and international levels. He has published many articles in national and international journals on a multitude of plastic surgery topics. He has participated in medical missions to give free plastic surgery care to children in third world countries. Dr. Heistein is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Heistein grew up in New Jersey, and attended The University of Vermont to earn his undergraduate degree. After finishing at the top of his class at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, he then continued on to complete his combined general and plastic surgery residency at The Ohio State University.

He has developed a plastic surgery practice to combine state-of-the-art surgical techniques with impeccable judgment and an artist’s eye. He specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, body, and face. He has focused his attention on minimally invasive techniques, and strives to make sure his patients have small scars, which can minimize pain, swelling and bruising. They usually enjoy a short recovery time, being able to resume their normal activities looking as natural as possible.

Dr. Heistein is devoted to helping people improve the way they feel about themselves.
